This Privacy Policy describes how Little Shadow ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
Little Shadow is designed with privacy in mind, especially because it is intended for children. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII), including:
- Name, email address, or account credentials
- Location data
- Photos, microphone, or camera data
- Device identifiers beyond what the platform provides for analytics
- Usage profiles or behavioral tracking data
2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The App saves the following data only on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us:
- Selected language preference
- Whether the introductory screen has been shown
- Whether the premium unlock has been purchased
- Game progress within phases
3. In-App Purchases
The App offers a one-time in-app purchase ("Little Shadow Pro") to unlock all game phases. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) and by our payment provider RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment details.
RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase and entitlement data to manage your subscription status. Please review RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- RevenueCat — in-app purchase management. Privacy Policy
- Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution and payment processing.
- expo-speech / device TTS — text-to-speech is processed entirely on your device; no audio is sent to external servers.
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)
Little Shadow is an educational vocabulary game suitable for children of all ages. We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable children's privacy laws worldwide.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). Since the App collects no personal data at all, it is safe for children to use.
6. Analytics and Advertising
The App does not include any advertising SDKs or third-party analytics trackers. No behavioral or advertising data is collected.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the App. We do not retain any data on our servers.
8. Security
Because we do not collect or transmit personal data, there is no personal data at risk of breach on our end. Local device data is protected by your device's own security mechanisms.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
